Bust of Atano III, dressed as a pelota player at rest.
To mark the centenary of the birth of Atano III, Pilotaren Batzarra made contact with the artist and commissioned a tribute work from him. At first, they considered a full body statue, but later opted for a bust. The bust portrays the posture of the pelota player between two games, showing an attitude that is not violent, but has tension and effort showing in the face. It was installed in its present position on 21st February 2006. It has the following inscription: "MARIANO JUARISTI MENDIZABAL / ATANO III / 1904-II-21 2001-I-12 / PILOTA BATZARRAREN / EKIMENEZ / 2006-II-21".
