This centre is specialised in the themes within the museum's permanent exhibition on Basque society and its temporary exhibitions: art, history, ethnography, museum studies, didactics, conservation and restoration.
Intended for researchers and students interested in looking at greater depth into STM's subject matter.
It is open to all and free of charge.

Wednesdays to fridays, from 10:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m
Tuesday , 10:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. / 16:00-20:00 p.m.
Mondays, saturdays, sundays and Bank Holidays will be closed.
It could be possible to organise a meeting out of the opening hours.

- Documentary support for museum staff concerning their research and interpretation work on the collections, and when preparing permanent and temporary exhibitions.
- Lending from the modern fund to DK members.
- Consultation-only of antique fund
- Help searching for bibliographical and documental information on the museum's topic areas
Reproductions
Copying and scanning service for material after 1950 whenever the user promises to meet the Copyright Laws.
The copying and scanning service is not free. Users will be charged for each copy made.
Material prior to 1950 can be photographed with no flash and with prior express authorisation from the library staff in the room.
