We Gipuzkoans have a long history with the sea: beaches, fishermen, ports, boats... We will see how we have been conditioned by having the sea right on our doorstep, and the students will see what changes this element, which we see every day, has brought us.
San Telmo Museum has a magnificent collection of Fine Art and we want to show our students paintings and art works contained therein. We will identify characters and then we will ask the students to represent an event or moment from their lives.

We are capable of seeing the world with our eyes. But, where do colours come from? Why do we see them? How many colours are there? How do they arise? By means of the Fine Arts collection we will try to answer all these questions and then play and experiment with colours in our workshop.

The people of Gipuzkoa have seen and felt the sea more as a door than a barrier. There are famous Gipuzkoans who have helped to “expand” our territory, and all of them have counted on the help of maps and cartography. We also want to give our students the chance to go on their own adventure.
In this activity, our subject will be sculpture and we will analyse the Museum’s collection. How is a piece of sculpture created? Are they all the same? What materials are used? After considering that sculptures are created by adding or taking away materials, why don’t the students create their own sculpture?
This is a general tour of the museum, covering the period from prehistory to the beginnings of modern times.
With the help of diverse elements owned by the museum, we propose a route to help understand the Basque language, its history and those of its speakers.
