Unveiled on 28th September 1924 Several inscriptions can be read on the work. On the high part: "IN MEMORY / OF THE GALLANT BRITISH SOLDIERS / WHO GAVE THEIR LIFE / FOR THE GREATNESS OF THEIR COUNTRY / AND FOR THE INDEPENDENCE / AND LIBERTY OF SPAIN. On the lower part "ENGLAND HAS ENTRUSTED TO US THEIR HONOURED REMAINS / OUR GRATITUDE WILL WATCH OVER THEIR ETERNAL REPOSE". For the execution of this work, part of the figures were reused (those of the battle and the soldiers) from the 1813 Centenary Commemorative Monument.
