Commissioned by the City Council, this work was installed on 20th December 1988 on Paseo de la Zurriola, next to the site of the Kursaal. Later, on 18th October 1993, it was provisionally sited in Amara due to the work to renovate Paseo de la Zurriola and the construction of the new breakwater. In April 2015 it was transferred to its current location at the esplanade of Sagües.
